Jessica and I have experienced loss again. We were expecting a child in April and we found out yesterday that we lost it. Second miscarriage in 6 months. Needless to say we need your prayers.
Just so you know, Pastors aren’t super heroes. Even as a Pastor, In these moments it doesn’t make sense. We know that it doesn’t surprise God and that He is sovereign and He knows what’s best. But, Just so you know, It doesn’t make it hurt any less. It doesn’t make us any less angry. Why? Because we are human. I hadn’t cried until I read this today… and haven’t stopped since…
Psalm 6:2-7
“Have mercy on me, O LORD, for I am weak; O LORD, heal me, for my bones are troubled. My soul also is greatly troubled; But You, O LORD–how long? Return, O LORD, deliver me! Oh, save me for Your mercies’ sake! For in death there is no remembrance of You; In the grave who will give You thanks? I am weary with my groaning; All night I make my bed swim; I drench my couch with my tears.My eye wastes away because of grief…”
